Much of the artwork depicted here is dedicated to the symbolism captured in the style of Vanitas, or the transience of life. Throughout the history of art, the vanitas theme is implied by using the images of skulls, which reminds us of the certainty of our mortal selves. The end of life is a sad time for most of us, to be sure. However, various cultures and religions also believe there is life or a reincarnation after our finality. Our time here on earth is but a passage. Within this site you will find various subjects of my art, in particular, my preference toward anatomical renderings centered in realism or whimsy. Also, the celebration of Dia De Los Muertos, or Day of the Dead is a favorite theme of mine.
